this is the home for my musical project, fireflovvers.

"fireflovvers" is a simple combination of two metaphors. fire, representing emotion/passion, and flowers, which represents artists (i.e. things that bring beauty into the world). so fireflovvers just means passionate artists. why is there a double v? well, mostly cause i thought it looked cooler, but i also like that it kinda includes the word lovers that way. anyways-
my music tends to jump from genre to genre, but it can be broadly categorized as 'alternative rock.' i dabble in punk, metal, prog, folk, shoegaze, ambient and OTHER. i like having atmospheric sections interjected into my songs to create contrast with the drier sections. lots of my stuff sounds slightly messy because i'm mostly a drummer and not great at playing other things. i like that sound, personally, but i also like the Shaggs, so who am i to talk?
my latest project as of writing this is an album: switchblast. the idea of it was to create a bunch of short and sweet, mostly high energy songs that all link together and offer little breathing room for the listener, other than a few quieter tracks. i also wanted it to be highly varied in terms of songwriting, while still being cohesive, which i think i accomplished! (^v^) it was written over the course of roughly the last year, same as much of my other material. i am currently working on lots of other things, which should come out fairly quickly if all goes well! (fingers crossed)
